Each product with the Phu Quoc GI certificate is stamped. And Khai Hoan is one of the fish sauce manufacturers that has been granted a certificate of geographical indication Phu Quoc.
The Phu Quoc GI for fish sauce is a fish sauce product with the following specific quality properties:
- Color: characteristic bold color of cockroach wings.
- Odor: very characteristic light aroma, no fishy smell and ammonia smell.
- Taste: salty, sweet, with a natural fatty taste. Has a sweet aftertaste of natural protein and fat from fish fat.
- Protein: Minimum protein: 20gN/liter; Maximum protein: 43gN/liter
Ingredients: Fresh anchovies, sea salt, no additives, no preservatives.
Natural fermentation:
Nước mắm Khải Hoàn is made from Phu Quoc anchovy fish and Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu sea salt, naturally fermented in a wooden barrel for 12-15 months using traditional methods and quality management according to HACCP standards, from catching to finished product. This product has a history of over 200 years, is protected by geographical indications in Vietnam and 28 European Union countries, and has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as an intangible cultural heritage, national folklore knowledge.
